We’re just back home from a chilly but lovely morning at this year’s annual Broadway Food Festival, a great day out showcasing local artisan producers with cooking demos by local chefs and delicious food to go.
A place to discover the best of local food and drink and with free admission …you’ve heard me say it before .. WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE..?
We always enjoy the food festival but this year we were most excited about a new venture.. that of local business woman Ann-Marie Svensson-New, a welcome newcomer on the Food Festival scene this morning with her freshly launched business ‘Svensson’s Swedish Crispbread’.
Made here in her home in Broadway but originally from Sweden, Ann-Marie has created a twist on the traditional Swedish Crispbread and showcased her products at the Food festival for what I am sure will be the first of many times to come!
Ann-Marie’s crisp breads went down extremely well with The Toddler and he also devoured the Swedish Cinnamon Buns of which I bought several and which we are now all about tuck into at home with a cup of tea. I for one will need a constant supply of these in the house. Ann-Marie we love your products and can’t wait to see you at the show each year!

Some of our other purchases included Scotch Eggs from The Little Pickle, yum. A selection of quite simply amazing brownies from The Pudding Wagon and some Sausage rolls from our ever faithful Broadway Deli. We also came away with one of a new range of BBQ condiments from Ross & Ross foods, it’s always good to see the Ross’ and this Moroccan rub for lamb looks….erm, well…good enough to eat!
Rudy had a lovely morning out with Mummy and Daddy despite the blowy weather and we have a feast of delights for a cosy Sunday at home!
