Kitchen Garden in the Cotswolds

I was recently give some Chutneys for the Christmas table and have only just a had to sample them. They’re already on the shopping list for next Christmas so I thought you might like them on yours too, but of course you can buy them at any time of year!

Founded in her Cotswolds cottage in 1989 by young mum Barbara Moinet, Kitchen Garden’s delicious and unusual jams, chutneys, marmalades and condiments are still made in small batches by hand and are now available in farm shops, food halls and delis throughout the UK and overseas.

We tried the Apricot and Orange Chutney which had a distinct Christmas taste about it with a manly Orange flavour but which would be great with a Curry.  Also on the table was the Fig and Plum Relish, rich and fruity great with cheese, but we ate both with our annual boiled ham joint and both went down well with that.

Both RRP at £3.30, for more information visit

The jars have recently been given a new look featuring distinctive pen and ink illustrations by Oliver Moinet and focus on Kitchen Garden’s ‘handmade in the Cotswolds’ heritage.

Latest additions to the range include delicious Fig & Plum Relish or Apricot & Orange Chutney which we enjoyed very much and can’t wait for more additions to the condiment family when they arise!
