If like me you need a few extra gifts for next week and have left it all a little last minute, then you could do no better than heading up to Lapstone..
There’s so much up there – unique shopping in a truly stunning and unique location with coffee and cake or full lunch on offer at Meg River’s Cafe….what’s not to love?
And it’s peaceful; Its not a busy high street with booming music and thousands upon thousands of crazed Christmas shoppers! Everything is very civilised at Lapstone.
Located on the top of Westington Hill above Chipping Campden, and somewhere between there and Broadway and Stow on the Wold, nestled within picturesque Cotswold fields, stone walls and bright blue skies you’ll find an emporium of gifts, jewellery, luxury fashion, toiletries, shoes, impressive interiors, gifts for him, her, baby, child, grandparent and on and on…basically EVERYONE who’s stocking needs filling this year!!
Its all looking VERY Christmassy and gets you in the mood, I saw some ladies having a cheeky Mulled wine here at lunchtime and was pretty tempted but that I had the baby Jesus with me I might have joined them!
You’ll find quirky interiors pieces here, like this fascinating carved red wooden light and the one behind it resembling the moon (I think!) These have just arrived and are just the kind of thing I expect to see here – pieces that stand out, are unique and special and which tease and tug at the wallet.
Today quite abnormally my wallet came of very lightly but only because I was due next door for my Christmas hair do at MODE HAIR …. (hairdresser of the year South West 2014 & 2015)
By the time I left though it was dark and I was able to picture the shop for the second time in a day but this time with it’s twinkling lights and Christmas cheer.
Happy shopping and enjoy the wonderful time of year and the week ahead.
