Rudy surprised us by coming over 5 weeks early and his room certainly wasn’t finished, I had just begun the process of painstakingly sticking raindrops onto his wall one by one when he decided to enter the world.
Thank fully the furniture was all in place in place but the rest happened in a mad rush after the event!
This is a good idea of the finished product.
More recently I’ve been swapping things around when additions arrive in the post like this gorgeous Watercolour print from HBCREATIVE which includes Rudy’s full name and birthdate .
Since his Christening I’ve added the balloons to the raindrop scenario which gives a bit of depth to the room, its safe to say he really will know what his name is, its everywhere!
I love to style his little nursing side table and here’s a few shots of how I have so far.

I suppose this is the thing that’s taken the most work, this jam packed monochrome shelf of goodies from so many amazing insta shops, amongst them Vivi and the Bears who’s posters adorn the walls in this corner of the room.
And here’s his cot area…using my favourite paint colour – Manor House Grey from Farrow & Ball.
It’s the best grey I can find around and our kitchen is painted the same colour so I know it well. In the nursery I’ve painted a statement wall on which to hang his super hero banner just above and behind his cot, the grey breaks up the white of the room and has been a big hit.
Here he is lying round with all of his little friends 🙂
Thanks for reading, have a great Sunday.
