It’s been a while since I posted. Having a small baby, keeping up with the coffee meet ups and baby stuff in general as well as a few other projects I am currently working on ( watch this space) makes it a little more tricky to keep up with the blogging! I’m sorry, normal service should resume fairly soon.
What a GREAT August we’ve had though!
This last weekend we were out and about at the annual Ilmington Show held every August bank holiday Monday, the weather was gorgeous. We also popped into Cheltenham and got caught in what was one of the biggest storms I think we have ever had, torrential rain and fork lightening put an abrupt end to our family shopping trip but we did manage to squeeze in a Pizza at Pizza Express where we were very well looked after (as we always are) and I did manage to get my Hydrangeas (which I always do) from The Flower Man on the Promenade.
Rudy and I have had a jam-packed month and I thank Maternity leave for allowing me to have had such a particularly special few weeks with my baby boy.
We’ve been up to see the glorious Lavender at Cotswold Lavender see a longer post about the Lavender here..
Last week, the weather was so beautiful that I was able to capture the village at its very best with the sun bouncing off the creamy cotswold stone seemingly backlit by a brilliant blue sky.
The month has included a few cheeky lunches here and there, not least of which was at The Fish Hotel with it’s stunning landscape and views.
….and a few drinks also at The Bell, Alderminster…read more here..
The Harvest has been and gone in a cloud of wheat dust leaving neatly cut fields and perfectly packaged hay bales.
Despite a blowy few days, we had great fun in Pittville Park, Cheltenham with Rudy’s baby friends..
And we house sat for a week at my Sister’s in Stratford upon Avon which was like a mini holiday. Read more here…
An annual visit to Hidcote Manor Gardens was well overdue – too see all the pictures head over to CotswoldCreate on Facebook or wait for the blog post coming soon on CotswoldCreate Blog.
We’ve seen some amazingly beautiful sunsets that make you stop in your tracks..
And FINALLY, Rudy bought a new hat which he wears most days…
Here’s to a fantastic September, perhaps we’ll have an Indian Summer but all in all this Summer and August has been a pretty great one we think!
