It’s taken me ages to get over to the The Bell at Alderminster to see their newly renovated dining room and garden.
I’ve seen plenty of pictures and heard it raved about but staying nearby at my Sister’s this last week gave me a perfect excuse to try it out and so on Friday after a painful trip to Mothercare in Solihull we swerved by to check it out. It was a stunning day and it was Fizz Friday so really we had to, didn’t we!!
Just outside of Stratford upon Avon, The Bell is far enough out to feel like you’ve reached complete countryside and tranquility and just near enough to jump in a cab to /from.
The renovated dining room is simply stunning…
The Bell’s owner Emma Holman West has uplifted the gastro pub come restaurant come bed and breakfast and with her most recent touch of exquisite interior style she has created a simply beautiful place to just …’be’.
The Bell has been managed in house for over seven years and has gone from strength to strength whilst under Emma’s wing, undergoing building and product development to achieve a reputable and multi award winning modern day country pub, restaurant and B&B. The management and team have a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from working in the hospitality industry, and are on hand to offer excellence throughout.
The interior couldn’t have been decorated anymore up my straza than it has been. I could literally take what Emma’s created and transport it in its entirety to my house. A stunning collection of interior pieces and artwork together with it’s mix of eclectic colours and metallic finishes make this a simply beautiful setting for any event, dinner or just a quick drink!
As I always say in my posts, for me its the attention to detail which makes the difference, every time.
This is a special place for us. My husband and I met here in 2010 and celebrated our engagement some two years later. If I had had my way, a marquee for our wedding in the garden here would have been an especially fitting hat-trick.
I can just imagine a drinks reception on the terrace and a marquee stretching out over the expansive lawn with its glorious views stretching over to Ilmington.
This time we only managed a few drinks before Rudy’s new strict tea and bedtime routine beckoned but… I’ll be back soon for a longer visit.
He seemed to enjoy himself as did we all. He gave it a big thumbs up and a squeal of delight and this is of course the equivalent to a CotswoldCreate 5 stars!!
Ciao for now, I’ll let you know when we return!! I’m already planning my 40th…. did I mention ..there’s an extremely sexy private dining room with its own garden hidden out the back which has my name on it.. (think grapes and decking, Tuscany styly)
(It had some great mirrors too and in true CotswoldCreate style, this one begged for a rather dodgy selfie in THE dress…blog post to follow on that!)
