Coming home

Coming home

I LOVE where I live and there’s something great about going away for the day and then coming back again!

I popped down to London yesterday to have lunch with two of my oldest and dearest friends.

I like to travel from Moreton in Marsh, despite the slightly longer journey which ends up at Paddington as opposed to Marylebone because I like the station and the train route is quite beautiful.

I always make sure I have enough time to park and then stroll into the town to grab a latte which is generally from The Victorian Coffee House. With its funky retro Victorian decor and free wifi it’s certainly my favourite spot for coffee in the town.

The journey to London is easy and after a quick catch up lunch with my best girlfriends in Sloane Square I’m already heading homeward by 4pm. A fleeting and enjoyable day trip.

Coming home I have a warm, cosy feeling when we reach the Oxfordshire countryside. From the train window I’m greeted by golden fields and wide open spaces along the track, never better than at this time of year before eager Farmers begin their toil of harvesting.

There’s something quite lovely about being home as the train rolls into Moreton in Marsh station and I always feel a real sense of being ‘home’.

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the lovely ☀️☀️☀️
