Doing up the barn – Part two

Doing up the barn – Part two

It’s been a while since I updated on the progress of the barn interiors.

We finally did get the Living room sorted out and its great, we love it. It’s black, white and grey theme is calming and cool and it carries through well from the grey kitchen, just as I had planned it would.

Having ordered the wrong size sofas from Laura Ashley, then realised, cancelled and ordered the correct ones. We waited 12 weeks for them to be made in the grey fabric I had chosen, they have fitted in perfectly on the grey / white carpet mix.

I had wondered whether the room may be a little bland when all was in against the white walls but accessorizing with accents of black and white, copper and brass has lifted the greys and all works well.

The black and white theme now runs through the house. From cushions to throws and typographical prints, modern calligraphy and quotes and vases, and there are lots of those ….my very special Christmas gifts from Kähler design which are now multiplying..

Let me know what you think….

# print, My Paris Journal and Cereal magazine on a living room side table, I like this picture a lot.

Then there’s my new desk updates…this is where I sit and write for CotswoldCreate, a little space of black & white quotes and…. its all mine.

In the Living Room the picture ledges really make a difference. There are no shelves in the room, just picture ledges full of white frames which I move around depending on how I am feeling with what I have found to add or swap around.

That’s all for now on my quick barn update – watch out for more interiors posts… including painting the barn green!
